Reception & Communication Officer at Reconnect Therapy
Often the hardest moment is not the therapy itself, but the first step—that very first “hello” on the phone. That is where I meet you. You might feel awkward, anxious or unsure of exactly what to say, and that is completely fine. My role is to listen to you, understand what you need as best as possible, and help you take that first step with a little calm and security.
I have always liked being the person who listens, coordinates and supports “behind the scenes”, so that others can feel a bit more at ease. I am glad when I feel that someone is relieved because they found a warm person on the other end of the line who can guide them, organise things for them and say, “I am here, we will look after this together”.
At Reconnect, I am not here “simply as reception”. I am the person who connects you with the team of therapists: I keep information organised, manage appointments and communication, so that you always know where you stand in the process and what our next step is.
My role is to establish a framework of safety and organisation from the very beginning: so that you know who will see you, when, in what way, and what is needed from you, without getting lost in the process.
At the same time, I am in constant contact with the team so that the therapists have the information they need to welcome you, and the team's day-to-day operations run as smoothly as possible.
Within this role, my goal is simple:
to make the journey from the thought “I probably need help” to the first session as human, clear and supportive as possible.
